"It’s conveniently located near the coastal path, perfect for those looking to stop for refreshments after a walk. The building has some historical significance; it is said that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle frequented this pub and drew inspiration for one of his Sherlock Holmes stories here (though I can’t recall which one at the moment).
As you walk through the bar into the dining area at the back, you’ll find plenty of Sherlock Holmes memorabilia. The pub boasts a wide selection of beers and a fantastic menu filled with classic pub dishes. They previously didn’t serve food on Mondays, but that has changed, and now dining is available every day. The food is excellent, and the ales are well-kept, with the beer selection changing regularly.
