"I've known the farmer house for 30 years and had it very well in memory. This time it should be a special evening with friends again and delighted me to eat and ambiente .the farmerhaus is a high-priced, exceptionally beautiful restaurant with South African specialties for the upscale claim. I cannot complain about the ambiente, the situation and the ease of the staff and the owner - in contrast everything is very commendable. the facility, warm reception and service beautiful and almost perfect. the lookout especially at best weather -Magnificent!I also found that we were offered a table for outside with the option also later to go inside, although I had only reserved for inside. as said: so far, so fine. but now on the main part of a restaurant visit: here I can no longer express my praise. the cocktail lilett was too sour and too warm- ok can happen...My appetizer garnel with olive granatapfel - yes ok, but also no more and in this price class you just expect more. the main course KINGKLIP|ANANASBUTTER|BANANENBLATT a total failure : the fish came almost cold, for this dry boiled and doubled with an undefined puree to say not pampe completely tasteless - reminded me more of pastinakenbrei of alete than ananasbutter as described. I was certainly offered another dish without any help - but now I have seen and cost the equally dry-fried meat bread on the teller of my man, and which were not to be described as a highlight - I chose an salat. this was then served beautifully decorated (and not calculated! as well as the fish dish)- but also not especially tasted. the fruits in the salat were consistently immature- the nuts showed themselves as 5 hazelnuts under the scarcely dimensioned to acidic dressing above the green consisting of only wild herbs. my dessert also didn't seem as it was described (I find when you order in a chocolate mousse with kaluha, should additionally stand on the map that there are still any amount of fruit in the mousse when it was served that way - it was served - it didn't taste in this form and should not call itself chocolate mousse)Yes, so I had only pech this evening? to my man tasted the partly overwrought and too dry roasted meat also not especially(very bad for quality)About the quality of eating our friends I do not want to express myself here the owner apologised yet with us with a glass champagner- all very nice- as said this is not the problem it is simply very bad and I cannot definitiw to join the other guests who eat this. I know myself, I think, relatively well with good kitchen also at elevated level - also visited numerous restaurants in South Africa and was not disappointed- but here in the large urban farmer house, the sheer between ambience/request and food/preparation is simply too large - especially since the price class simply requires a higher level.Maybe you should improve the menu or also description of the dishes rethink-definitiw but the preparation. Nevertheless, it was a nice evening to deal with the created problem by the iconic and professional nature of the owner. but will not come by so quickly because of eating."
