"We went to the Black Bull after being invited by friends to join them for dinner there. The building is very quaint and very old with low beams. The menu is written on a blackboard and with desserts on another. It was mostly roast dinner with a choice of beef pork chicken and lamb. 2 of us had the roast beef, which came with a huge plate of veg potatoes, peas, carrots, and sprouts). Our friends had a mixture of beef, chicken, and lamb. We all agreed it was a lovely meal. The portions were very generous and the staff were very efficient but friendly. Drinks were ordered from the bar. The cost was a little higher than we normally pay but well worth the extra."
