"A very lively little pub, even on a Monday night, and a very friendly mixed crowd of all ages. I loved the historic 'long house ' building, with its low beamed ceiling and stone walls...and of course the thought that major historic events had taken place there. The staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was very fresh and in generous portions, and the wine list was better than the average. Highly recommended! Price per person: £30–40"
