"Me and my girfriend are often crossing the whole Germany from Poland to France (From Frankfurt nad odra / Slubice to Belfort). During this one day trip we like to have some stops in different cities, at least one to lunch or one to have a dinner. This time we decided randomly to visit a restaurant in the city of Emmendingen (north-east of Freiburg). Thanks to Tripadvisor we did choose one ot the best ranked restaurant (and still affordable). And then the choice was " Vielharmony ".On this sunday evening there was a lot of parked cars in the old city of Emmendingen where is located the restaurant. But still, it was rather easy to park close to the restaurant without paying. First of all, the hosts (either waitresses or owners) were very smily, pleasant, looking friendly at first sight. Then we did like the atmosphere of the restaurant. To be in this city, and in this restaurant, we felt something very peacefull, quiet, distressing. Well, we were very good here.About the choices : on this 23rd april it seems it was the time of Asparagus ! A lot of choices including this vegetable. There is not too much of choices in the card which sound rather good. We did choose the samethings : fishes on the grill with green salad, then as a desert a 'mousse' served with strawberries, then a hot chocolate, all this with as a drink : sparkling water. Free amuse bouche to start, quite nice, even if I can't describe this little thing.The fishes, 3 kind, were well cooked and tasty. Even if my girlfriend felt too much vinegar in the salad, but it's her own taste, because besides, for me it was very ok.Only bad point : the untasty tomatoes. In my opinion it's useless to put something untasty in the recipe. Either choose a good tomato, or do not include tomatoe in the recipe. But except this, it was very good.The dessert was very nice, I mean the especially this interesting mousse. Again : the strawberries were not that tasty, not similar to the tomatoe, but... close. I would say the same thing as for the tomatoe. But it did not destroy the desert. Good hot chocolate. It was rather quickly served, and in a pleasant way. One of the waitress (/owner ?) came to be sure all was ok. Of course, I did not mention the little deceptions about tomatoes/strawberries as it can be felt as agressive. And anyway, I think the cooks know the taste of the product of what they use. Finally the price is really fair. We paid 50 euros and some cents for both, and as overall we were happy we left a tip of 10%.We did really enjoy our time in Vielharmony, and we can only advice this place. By the way we had a little walk in the old city of Emmendingen, which is quite astonishing for us. It looks really nice and we have planned to have a short break other there to discover it."

"Ich war wd zu Besuch bei meiner Schwester im Schwarzwald , in der Nähe von Freiburg .. sie brachte mich wd zu ihrem Lieblingsrestaurant , was mir gleich beim ersten Mal schon sehr gefiel . Das Preisleistungs-Verhältnis ist mehr als OK , die Portionen relativ groß...ich kann nun sagen , dass es nun auch eines , meiner Lieblingsrestaurants geworden ist ...Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ..."

"I love the atmosphere, it is really relaxed and the staff is friendly. I love the variety of food and drinks they have. there is cake, different kinds of salads and bread with delicious savoury spreads you can choose from! They even have lactosefree milk...and I think or different kinds of milk alternatives like soymilk. The breakfast is amazing as well! Lots of stuff to choose from (sweet and savoury) And as I can´t eat wheat I am allowed to bring my own bread when I go for the breakfast there (how nice is that? you can also buy different kinds of (really nice) coffee beans/grounded and pralinees.I LOVE IT, I go there every week"

"Visited this Greek Restaurant on the with friends living in the vicinity. The restaurant seems to be well patronised by locals. The welcome was warm , and friendly, presumably because my friends are regular guests. The menu card was very elaborate , with various...well known Greek dishes . The four of us ordered four different dishes , and they were very tasty and filling. Portions are very large , so if you are really hungry you get your monies worth. Please note that they do not accept and international credit cards such as Visa , Master or American Express, so please make sure you have ready cash. You can have a good meal for around EUR per person . The restaurant is fairly large , but I suggest you make a reservation if you want to have a meal with them at the weekend. "I really miss the words, but to protect others I write. we had ordered 3 dishes first tried×last) with noodles. because all dishes are only with rice, at the very expensive trips 9€ for noodles extra. rice is not going. when we arrived at home, was a small bowl of rice for allegedly 3 people. in our chinese, that would be a part. If I have called this, even a great part that they can come back, we will live 20km away. then we hoped for a really good quality and my eating had no sosse though order.) I would have swallowed it, but I must say at the Chinese in Freiburg surprisingly good quality) at the station at a half price would have cost it 10x better. I was very, very disappointed, even from the unfriendly lady on the phone they can nix but we can never get back."

"recommended Chinese restaurant in emmendingen. very friendly and accommodating service. Daily lunch buffet of 12-14 watches, very reasonable price. the food tastes very good, there is soup, salad and more warm food. A small highlight is the baked pudding as a dessert. very delicious! "We visited this place for the first time as friends have recommended it to us! My experience is very mixed as there have been several hiccups! The first issue arose when we arrived: we stood around and had to wait for a little while until someone came over to ask us for our booking and we quite frankly felt a little lost. I had booked a table for 4 but changed it to 6 the previous day. When we arrived they said they had a reservation for 4 and for 6 under my name and when I said that I changed it from 4 to 6 rather than making an additional booking, the waitress did not seem impressed and maybe even a little annoyed just pointing us to our table without saying anything. We then sat down and were able to make our order soon, however quite a lot went wrong: I ordered a pizza without the salami that usually is on it, but then I was served the pizza in its original form! When I pointed out that I had ordered the pizza without the salami, the waiter huffed and puffed and asked: "can you not have it with salami?" My response was obviously "no. I am a vegetarian!" They also wanted to serve us several drinks we didn't order etc. The food was really nice and also the ambience was lovely and unique! there were several problems, however this is possibly due to the place being just opened and all staff being new. Wrong orders etc are therefore understandable/ acceptable, however the staff should definitely be trained in being friendlier and making guests feel more welcome rather than making you feel like a burden..."

"Dopo 5 giorni di cucina tedesca, ci è venuta voglia di pizza e cucina italiana. Abbiamo preso due pizze e due tagliate. Bello il locale e curato sia all'interno che nel bel giardino esterno. Si mangia bene, buone sia la pizza che la carne ed il vino. Ho anche visto passare dei bei piatti di antipasti, veramente invitanti. Il personale, sebbene italiano, non particolarmente cordiale. Non che ci aspettassimo chissà quale accoglienza, ma l'unico sorriso lo abbiamo ricevuto dalla cameriera, peraltro tedesca. Se si cerca della buona cucina italiana in zona lo consiglio. "we waited around the minute for wine and water. we asked for Italian wine, and we have an Argentine Malbec. in the meanwhile no litte arrived. under the option limited menu we have ordered the pasta variationas as primo. after an hour the pasta was brought. it was definitiw not al dente but raw. we sent it back and went for a second attempt, sad for us only a cold antipasto option. it was a kind of vegan eating, more or less ok. we had instead liked an Italian vegetables; Cheese; prosciutto; olive; focaccia or the like. After hours the secondi were served: a duck option with a mini artichoke decoration and a cod with algae. the fish was almost sushi. the duck was cold and the juice burned and bitter. we ate the small portions quickly, asked for the bill and went into a near Italian restaurant. the service was an inexperienced, young, very friendly, who was not trained for work in a gourmet restaurant. if you want to sit at least hours and have an extremely limited Italian and non italian dining options with an elegant price. just try it, don't come back. That's safe."

"Es gibt nichts zu merkern an den Malzeiten,etwas teurer als im Rest des Ortes.Auch der Service ist ok,nur die Chefin des Hauses scheint hier völlig fehl am Platz zu sein,es ist nicht gehnem falls sie nur etwas trinken möchten,man wird an den Stammtisch geschickt.......keine Platzwahl obwohl es noch nicht reservierte Tische gibt.Dort ist auch unsere Jogi ein gern gesehener Gast,aber man wird dann von der Wirtin aufgefordert den Herrn Nationalttrainer in Ruhe zulassen.Das ist finde ich wohl der Gipfel,von Unkompetenz,wir sind alle alt genug und nicht im Kindergarten,wissen uns sehr wohl zu benehmen auch ohne solche Bemerkungen.Falls jemand sich trotzdem um Herrn Joachim Löw kümmern möchte,was solls ........er hätte sicherlich nichts dagegengehabt."

"In the Markgrafenstraße, in a busy area of Emmendingen, you will find the restaurant / Pizzaria Piccolo Venezia in an older citizen house. here, in particular, pasta dishes and pizzas with the most varied coatings. When you order a pizza, you should bring a good hunger, because for my feeling, the pizzas are kept unusually large and abundant. If you order a pizza to the lunch table, it costs €5.50 with a supplement salad, no matter which pizza you choose. Even at the other times of the day, prices are consistent and for that what is offered, you cannot complain. What I still liked was the thinly rolled out pizza floor which was wonderfully baked and has tasted excellent; also the freshness left nothing to be desired. The operator was very attentive, flink and agile. Despite lunchtime, many tables were occupied, the food order went quickly over the stage and after a short time the drinks and the food were served. This is certainly beneficial for the guests who want to eat a little bite quickly during the lunch break on the working day. The Pizzaria tgl is open from 11:00. In beautiful weather, if the temperatures allow it, you can settle in a small beer garden in front of the restaurant. On one side of the garden a commercial stream flows past and the other side is bounded by the Markgrafenstrasse. So who loves Italian cuisine and likes to eat a pizza doesn't need to make this place so big a bow."

"Situated in the centre of a picture post card village, owners of Zum Goldenen Engel have spent the past 500 years polishing their craft and they 've not wasted their time! It 's everything you 'd want a Schwarzwald hotel to be architecturally timeless; staff in local costume providing...professional service; interiors rooms taken from every fairy story book you 've ever read; and located in some of Europe 's most beautiful countryside. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and have enjoyed splendid rooms, each with a small balcony overlooking the village, and furnished to a very high modern standard. In the evening, the dining room is a centre for local people which gives it the jovial atmosphere of a medieval tavern. Most of the staff speak little or no English but one or two speak very fluently so translation is never a problem. Do yourselves a massive favour and have dinner at the hotel. We 've always found German food a little bit beer sausage but the Goldenen Engel was a revaluation to us! Cuisine of a high order at realistic prices that will have you trying some very good food there again and again! A great experience that we shall repeat again next year I would encourage you to do the same."
