"Went to vita Bella today night with the wife due to not visiting for a while and felt we needed a treat. As always upon arrival we were met by the parking attendant who showed us where to park. Once inside a warm welcome from staff and then given the choice of being seated in the main restaurant or sitting next to the garden room, wife chose the latter. Once seated menus supplied and drink order taken. Plenty to choose from so took us a while to pick what to have lots looked good. I started with the scallops which were perfectly cooked, I was able to cut them with my spoon that’s how spot on they were. Now on to mains, I went for the veal with spaghetti again this was lovely, the spaghetti was cooked perfectly, not under cooked nor over cooked, and the bolognese was lovely, great flavour you could taste the meat not a load of tomato sauce here. My wife had the pork belly as this is one of her favorites here she always enjoys it and tonight was no different. Again the side of vegetables that accompanied my wife’s main were perfectly cooked and tasted lovely I know as I had some (can’t not as they are always perfect in flavour). We both fitted in a dessert tonight, my wife had apple pie which she said was lovely, I went for Coffee semifreddo which I’ve never had before as I’m not a big fan of desert and can normally take it or leave it but tonight I liked the sound of this one, again this didn’t disappoint if you like coffee and chocolate this is a must it was heavenly. To finish off when it came to getting the bill we were offered a completely drink and mints which was a lovely end to a perfect meal out."

"My last visit to an Italian restaurant (NOT THIS ONE) was disappointing. I was sceptical about going to another but I can assure you that this was really good. The food was really good. I am Intrigued to go back and check out their veal. The service was also excellent as they allowed me to order something I wanted which was only on their lunch menu. But they adapted. The restaurant itself is a little pokey with not much character. It looks a little jaded. The building is also narrow and therefore the experience is similarly narrow. There is another part of the restaurant downstairs which looks unused and the visible storage inside the door suggests this. The whole stairs, toilets, downstairs area is clean but very uninspiring. It feels more like walking round a bedsit than an Italian restaurant. That said the food and service was great. I would return for sure. There is a rather lovely raised section in the main portion of the restaurant. Once again this part of the restaurant is uninspiring but this is a nice area. I wanted a particular dish but it wasn’t on the menu I was given. I queried this and was told it was tue lunch menu I had viewed however they would accommodate my request. It was so worth it. Delicious. In summary; my last review of an Italian was style over substance with really poor food. This restaurant was fairly uninspiring inside however the food was great. The staff were great. And I will return. Thanks guys."

"So bad we're still laughing about it in disbelief. I really don't mind paying good money for nice food, on the flip side if the food is cheap I don't expect too much from it and if I'm pleasantly surprised it's a bonus. Roast Beef here is £17, cauliflower cheese was £8 and dessert was £7 £8, I don't remember, so middle of the road for pub roast. But pricey enough that the food should be good. The quality was poor and the portion sizes were small. The roast potatoes you could hardly cut through the outside (one of the potatoes i actually couldn't) and the inside was rock solid. It was probably a god send that you only got three very small potato's. The £8 cauliflower cheese was cauliflower in thickened milk lacking cheese, there was zero flavour. The beef consisted of two small bits of beef, my beef wasn't actually too bad and I appreciate you need a bit of fat to add to the flavour but the other people I was with, their beef was overly fatty. Gravy, there was very little. The Yorkshire puds, I'm pretty sure were from a packet. For desert we had brownies as they had run out of trillionaires tart, the portion sizes again were very very small, i'd be surprised if 3 square, although the flavour was good. All in all a very very disappointing experience, my cousin who booked lunch is now banned from ever booking lunch again. I did complain, in a non vocal manner and they did apologise and take 15% off our bill."
