"I have traveled several times through a mill, but I have never noticed this house. thanks to the Swiss guide “Gilde Gourmet” I discovered a small jewel in appenzeller land. my dinner on Friday was really pleasant. the dining room a kind of cozy veranda .boasts an intimate and relaxed feeling. a huge thumb to the renter yvonne and her team for the brilliant service. it best reflects the Swiss hospitality. during dinner the chef also came out to welcome the guests much appreciated. I chose the four course east menu. it started with a white wein soup with a small flat star tender and tasty. as starter I enjoyed the salat with hecht perch filets from the bottom lake very well. as the main course was the catch of the day “’saibling’ (char) fish: quite generous and tasty part, the fish was very fresh. as dessert the mango parfait was a refreshing and lush end of dinner. Unfortunately, the Swiss is known for an expensive price structure, also on the country. the bill was chf93. However, as I took a four-course menu and given the great food and excellent service, stars offers very good value for money."
