"I’d previously drank here in the summer and had a good time and so was keen to try food. Came on a weekday lunch eating inside so not sure if representative of weekends or evening menu too. I live locally in Bath so wanted to like the experience but was very disappointed. Unfortunately the food (fish finger sandwich), was very poor- grey, reconstituted looking fish fingers.. Tiny salad and coleslaw which cost extra and tasted like it had been left out. Expensive meal for what it was-two fish finger sandwiches and two soft drinks just under £30 for lunch. Most customers were elderly 70+ on the weekday lunchtime. We are mid 30s. Couldn’t fault on the service from staff who were friendly and attentive. Mainly the food that’s letting it down, I think it’s resting on it’s good location and letting both food and decor slip."

""This café is absolutely lovely, featuring a friendly and welcoming staff along with generous coffee servings. The carrot cake was simply delicious! The outdoor seating area with its tables is incredibly relaxing and inviting, while the interior is also spacious and cozy. Everything is very clean, and we plan to return, especially since their breakfast looks amazing. It's a beautiful place with wonderful staff and an overall fantastic experience... Thank you!""

"We arrived at 6, the time our table was booked , no one was interested in giving us any sort of service . We found our table and after waiting at the bar for 15mins we asked if we were going to be served drinks and was told we were stood in the wrong place, when our food arrived we had to eat it with 3 dogs belonging to the pub staring at us waiting for food. The barman was more interested in when we were leaving. We did not get any service what so ever apart from our food being bought out and we had to go to the bar to order anything . Standard I suppose for a low rate pub but our experience did not reflect our £200 bill. Not a good choice for what was my birthday meal"

"The food although limited in scope is well presented and wholesome. The range of beer, original well kept and in good condition. The lack of soft furnishings and a low ceiling make something of an echo chamber, to noise produced by an unfettered gaggle of unsupervised children. Not a place to go for a quiet pint and meaningful conversation."
