"I go to a lot of Portuguese restaurants in London. Why? Well, I like to practice speaking the language but mostly because the fare is fresh, tasty and relatively inexpensive. I 'd heard a lot about Manos Grill before the pandemic and decided one day I 'd give it a go. I don 't know, maybe something happened over the pandemic months but it 's not what I expected. The service is quick and pleasant enough and scrupulously clean, but something is lacking. No table covers, even paper ones. Nothing like the photos. I asked for soup and a 'jarro ' (or caraffe) of red wine to accompany the Costeletas de Borrego (lamb chops) I was about to order. The server went away and came back saying there was no soup and they didn 't do wine in caraffes, only by the glass or bottle. I asked for a glass of red 'reguengos ', a fairly popular table staple, which was delivered to the table along with some excellent lives and bread. I was asked how I 'd like my lamb and I said 'rosado (pink). The lamb was exceptionally well prepared and succulent, served with a slice of lemon, green beans and split roast potatoes. However, compared with other London Portuguese restaurants, it seemed to be presented without care; there was no olive oil, salt, pepper, on the table, no additional vegetable on the plate, such as, say, carrot and no garnish of any kind, simple herbs or otherwise. had a second glass of red and noticed the difference from a wine box. That 's not to say it was bad, but not what I was drinking. I asked for a third glass and before I could say 'not from the wine box please , half a glass had already been poured. I told the server what I was drinking and the wine was swiftly changed. So far so good. I asked for dessert and chose arroz doce , a sweet rice dessert sprinkled with cinnamon. This came straight from the fridge and was presented on my table in the same plastic container in which it had been made. Although it was good, I thought to myself couldn 't they at least present it as if I was a valued customer? I had two coffees and a fairly standard Bagaso (Portuguese clear liqueur). Coming to pay the bill, I noticed that they had applied an extra glass of wine, which when pointed out to them, they removed from the bill. All in all, a bit of a disappointment. Prices are slightly higher than other places in general and I wondered to myself if they 're trying to claw back some finance having been closed for a good part of the pandemic period. And unlike other restaurants, although the service was friendly and prompt and the food fairly good, one got the feeling that they were too busy doing other things to be attentive enough to their customer. Overall, £40 for a main, a dessert, three glasses of wine a bottle of mineral water, two expressos and a digestif was more than I imagined I 'd have to pay, possibly £5 10 more than most other places I frequent. From the food quality I 'd experienced, I 'd say it was a fairly good cafe, but a restaurant it ain 't. Will I go back? Probably not."

"my mother and daughter came to wembley to go to the Dosa Express, but unfortunately there was a huge snake out there. also the other restaurant in south Indian was too busy so we went to this restaurant with the becuase, it was windy and my...Mum is 70 and could not go very far. the tables were occupied with customers waiting for them to eat. a worker approached us about 5-7 minutes later and cleaned the table. At first no menus were bought to table, I had to ask for them what was only a menu. we have decided what we wanted and ordered only when the personal said there are no chats at the moment. I feel that customers should be informed when arrived at the door as my daughter chat and pani puri wanted. around us were families that were very excited and curious about their order. behind us the family told us that everyone waited for a long time, about 1 1/2 hours. we decided to order the starter. paneer tikka was very mild, without taste only red chili curcuma and coriander power, which was roasted. crispy bindi was only tasted. there were no plates given while that came, we asked for popadum while we wait, but only have one. we decided that we do not wait for the main page and decided to set the bill. only 3 employees a family canceled 2 dishes, as they could not wait. overall I will not go back because service and quality of food was bad. they need to improve their communication level between them and offer more services when they are opening up in this pandemic and recruiting more employees."

"So I did Ping Pong twice in a week. Once with a friend because it was local (St Paul's) and second, because I was at Wembley for a concert and it was the one with the smallest queue. Ping Pong has never really been a draw for me in the past, its never been a case of I MUST GO THERE. I have passed it several times when in Westfield Stratford and settled on Bumpkin, Busaba Eathai, even TGI Friday's. I am starting to come around to dim sum. With recent visits to Hakkasan, Bintang and Mama Lan, these tasty Chinese style bite sized pockets of goodness are growing on me. Ping Pong spaces are always quite big. I love the dark wood and rich chocolately interior. I live for the island seating, watching the Chefs do their thing (not at all locations). For now, I will focus on Wembley, simply because I was impressed with the seamless service regardless of the fact that it was mad busy with concert goers everywhere. We queued for 45 minutes which is to be expected with 65,000 people in the area. This was made up of actually standing in the queue and then having a drink at the bar. The system they have is good, they take your mobile and call you when your table is ready. This is the only way for them to successfully navigate through the traffic of bar customers and queuing hungry people. At the bar, my only negative so far was that the wine was not chilled so we needed ice. Diluted wine is not a good thing. Once we were sat, our waitress was unaffected by the demanding clientele in her section, was chirpy and attentive. The sequence of service was flawless. Drinks arrived promptly, food arrived as it was ready. The food was good. All the staff floated around the room, appearing to be in control. If there was tension, I could not see it. This site is obviously built for volume on days like this and they have the right team to facilitate it. In terms of food, I will amalgamate both dining experiences as they were on par. We went all out ordering duck spring rolls, prawn on toast with mango salsa and soft shell crab. There was also prawn and chive dumplings, I had black prawn dumpling. Honeyed chicken and mushroom rice pot and vegetable sticky rice completed the banquet. I think that Ping Pong lends itself well to sharing. There is so much goodness, it would be rude not to share. I will continue my dim sum journey and if Ping Pong happens to be in the vicinity, it will certainly be considered for another visit."
