"I ordered a big meal for my family and myself, as we had never tried this restaurant before. When the food arrived, it was not very hot and we had to warm up some dishes. I ordered a king prawn bhuna and found it to be extremely bland - it tasted like prawns in plain water. My husband ordered a king prawn curry and had a similar experience. The onion bhajis had a weird texture and taste, and overall we were quite disappointed. While the food was edible, the lack of flavor means we won't be ordering from this restaurant again."

"The Restaurant was a great find. Went there as a party of 3 for my birthday lunch treat today. The lunch menu has limited number of dishes compared to the evening one but are very well balanced. I have never seen kadhi chaval and channa jor garam on a uk restaurant menu, so well done for being so original. The restaurant is located nearest carpark 2, so best to park there. The restaurant decor has many traditional Rajisthani puppets hanging high above the restaurant entrance, nice touch. We ordered 3 starters (Street food) which we shared, they had the correct balance of sweet, hot and sour tastes, although I did compliment mine with additional tamrind, chilli and coriander sauces. We ordered different versions of the Thali. This was impressive indeed. The variety of items, presentation, flavour, temperature and amount of food served in the thali (the circular stinless steel plate) was perfection itself. Every dish had its own traditional Rajisthani unique flavour, could not fault it. Thank you Sohan for your personal courtesy you showed us, the table you had reserved for us, my birthday wishes and for having created a truely great, clean, restaurant with a memorable menu. This was amongst the very best food I have ever had, a great birthday feast. It was a true gastronomic delight for my tastebuds. The restaurant is now firmly on my agenda, a great find indeed. "Please note the lunch menu is £13.50 and cocktails are £10.95 not as shown on website. We just took 11 ladies, for lunch and it made a big difference to our bill. I did speak to the manager but tbh he didn't seem to care. A gesture from him would of made a big difference to us maybe choosing to lunch there again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40"

"On a recent visit to The Coach and Horses, it just looked like a nice, unassuming traditional pub, but there’s SO MUCH more to this fantastic place. A bar that is so well stocked it seemed to have every type of drink known to mankind...and the staffs knowledge of EVERYTHING behind their bar and their food was amazing. Excellent, friendly service with a smile. Our dogs were made very welcome inside. Now to the food......and boy was it spectacular!!!... My husband had smoked haddock in a lip smacking creamy, mustardy sauce, sat on top of a big dollop of Mash and peas on the side. My husband said it was one of the most delicious and perfectly cooked fish dishes he’s enjoyed in years. I opted for the liver and bacon, which came with the same sized big dollop of creamy Mash, lashings of the most incredible real meat juices gravy and a beautiful selection of greens, beans and whole baby carrots. I literally could have lifted the plate and licked it at the end, had I not been eating out in public !!! WOW, what fantastic value for money, incredible produce and quality of food. The Coach and Horses really have knocked it out of the park with the BEST pub grub ever!!!"

"The Marco Polo really pulled out all the stops for us after another venue let us down for a birthday meal for my husband which was booked back in April. At very short notice the Marco Polo accommodated 17 guests and even helped with decorating the cake and decorating the table. The service was fantastic for such a large table and we were all amazed that the food was brought out at the same time, hot and delicious. The food is always fabulous no matter what you order and our guests all agreed. The staff were friendly, looked after us all, were helpful and kept the drinks flowing! Just gutted that I forgot to take a bag home for breakfast the next day :o) We had such a great night with our friends, thank you all so much! Cannot recommend this Indian restaurant enough."

"Booked for a party of 17 guests,to celebrate a friends retirement. Previously had pre-booked menu choices and paid £10 deposit.On arrival,was seated at 2 tables in an extremely packed restaurant.Drinks was taken promptly and we all settled in for a nice evening.The restaurant provided a good entertainer,which was pleasant and gave a good vibe.However,after about 1 and a half hours we was still waiting for our starters, wasn't able to purchase drinks at the bar and no table service for drink orders.Starters started arriving in 1 or 2's,with 3 being forgotten completely.Reminded staff several times even though the staff had a sheet with the pre-ordered food,the remaining starters took at least 10 minutes to arrive.By 9.45 pm we was still waiting for the tables to be cleared, our mains started to arrive at 9.50pm.The pizza and garlic bread,which had been pre-ordered had run out.An alternative was offered as a good will jester for the pizzas,however no alternative was given for the garlic bread.The evening was spoilt by a poorly run team,in disorganised chaos.It's a shame because this could of been really good,but to many flaws to recommend or to return."

"Had their frozen one tonight and wow that’s enough to put anyone off the famous dish for life. I seriously hope your not serving the same frozen stuff in your restaurants, if you did I’d throw it at you. Completely disgusting and a total discredit to the world famous dish. First of all the mash was lumpy then the sauce was just like stale p.ss. The pastry was passable and the filling was just salty and had no flavour. Seriously if your exporting this stuff do your country proud and don’t just serve sh.t"

"I attended here for dinner with my daughter 09/06/23, it’s my second time dining in and it did not fail to please. The staff there always go above and beyond to smell you feel welcome and at home. The food is second to none, with the most amazing cocktails you’ve ever tasted. This is without a doubt the best Indian around, and I have certainly traveled for them. If I was to give a suggestion, it would be to put spice levels next to a curry, I think I found my limit last night lol, but thank you for the yogurt (nice touch as always). "We recently dined at this restaurant for brunch and were very impressed. The price per person was between £1-10, which was very reasonable. The food was excellent, with both the English Breakfast and toast standing out as recommended dishes. The service was also top-notch, receiving a perfect 5 rating. The atmosphere was a bit lacking, only receiving a 3 rating. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious and affordable meal."

"Get in quick ! After the stress of covid, Reids re opened after a refit and it was well worth the wait...trouble is, its closing for good some time next year.. We went for a Sunday lunch and were surprised to find how quiet it was considering the food was delicious, fresh, hot, plentiful and well served... we had the roast sirloin, roast potatoes, veg and the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen ! The gravy was delicious, obviously made with the beef juice... Rounded off with delicious lemon tart served with a zingy raspberry sorbet. Really good food served by good staff..."

"THE food here is really nice cannot fault it at all but the service and time we had to wait for it was ridiculous 5.30 table booked well in advance was seated until near on 6 due to table not being ready once was seated and finally had our order taken it took over an hour for it to arrive so not eating until gone 7 when booked at 5.30 is not really on!!! We then had dessert which was beautiful and paid for the bill as to which the waitress didn't give us our change back and just turned round and said oh did u want your change back? Which was rude in my opinion cause then she kicked us straight of the table as they had another booking!!! I would come back again to try but maybe not a Saturday as the gluten free menu was brilliant for my daughter and she loved it as the food was really nice but if this happened again I wouldn't return for the 3rd time so I advise don't come here if you are in a rush!!!"

"I have been coming to this restaurant for 5 years. The staff is wonderful and I enjoy the atmosphere. However, I was disappointed with the portion sizes when my partner and I paid over £100 for two starters, 2 main courses, and a £27.50 bottle of red wine. The food was still tasty, but the portions were very small. It felt more like fine dining than a casual pub meal. My partner was told he would have mushrooms with his dish, but he only got 1 mushroom. Overall, it was not worth the price we paid. We were in the bar area, not the restaurant."

"I stopped by for lunch and discovered that the 2-course offer advertised on the website was no longer available (should be updated). However, there was a 25% discount on the main menu items during lunchtime. The food was delicious, featuring traditional Turkish dishes along with some special options. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. Parking can be a challenge as the restaurant is located on a busy junction at the end of Billericay High Street. The best option is to park at the large public car park about halfway down the street and take a short walk to the restaurant. It is also conveniently located near Billericay main line station."

"As a family visited the Duke of York for a festive meal off the set menu and was left disappointed. We were presented with a table for 8 of us but it was two tables of four put together at different heights meaning we were separate. Numerous drinks were forgotten after the first drinks order and constant reminder asking where they are after a decent amount of time and no other drinks were offered throughout our meal we had to go the bar and order, even drinks we had to ask to order at the table didn’t come and were still on the bill even though paid at the bar to bring to our own table had to ask to be taken off. A bottle of wine was not given in a wine cooler just as a bottle which is odd? Bottle of still water with no glass of ice or lemon. Nothing felt synced together. The Christmas crackers rubbish was not collected up and was left in a mess on the table no empty glasses were taken. Starters were lovely good portion sizes and looking forward to a good meals. However mains came out and was a different question, the roast potatoes were raw and has to ask for new ones, the veg was falling apart and to top off no Yorkshire with a roast dinner which is compulsory for a roast dinner. Then realising it wasn’t mentioned on the menu but who does a roast dinner without a Yorkshire? The turkey gravy was lovely though. Desserts it was a mix cheese board was nice (had to ask for the appropriate cutlery for it though to cut the cheese) , but the brownie was dry. The service was poor and not attentive or personable, there was no check back on our food, plates took ages to be cleared, no sauces offered after the last plate was put down especially for a roast dinner. Unfortunately we had asked the service to be removed after waiting 15 minutes for a bill, then extra time sorting out the drinks we didn’t receive and then more time asking for the card machine. Very sorry but would not recommend after this experience after hearing great things as well.."

"They were very accommodating about making veggie dishes. It's a little pricey would like a standard menu for when you just want to eat a few dishes. But love the concept of all you can eat but order of menu. Vegetarian options: Veggie dishes we got: Salt and chilli tofu 10/10 Spring rolls 4/10 very oily lacked flavour Tofu with black bean sauce 8/10 needed to be spicer but really good flavour Tofu with yellow bean and cashew 6/10 the food colouring was off putting Veg chow main 10/10"

"I took my mum and dad to Prezzo's in Wickford last night for a family celebration for my mum's 80th birthday and her 60th wedding anniversary. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Mum and dad are advancing in years but the staff were so lovely to them and us, allowing us to have a cake with candles and they all sang happy birthday. I love the layout of this restaurant, it is open and relaxed with the tables a nice distance apart compared to other similar restaurants and yet it still has a buzz and warm vibe to it. One of my things about any restaurant is that you should always be greeted at the door no matter how busy it is. I go to this restaurant about once a month since it opened years ago and they always do this well. The food is always hot and nicely presented. We had a mixture of pasta pizza, burger and chicken and all were tasty. Sometimes I go to restaurants and staff just go through the motions, but in this restaurant they genuinely want you to enjoy your visit"

"Disgusting meal. Went for the Valentines menu. Had to wait over half an hour to be told there was no roast potatoes . So went for chips. Waited another 15 minutes until it finally arrived. What a disappointment!!!. The pastry was soaked in gravy and therefore was like wet cardboard and the steak was tough to cut. Sent it back and waited again for just a steak but in the meantime my husband had finished his. So the second steak came but it was well done and I had asked for it to be medium to well done and the chips looked like they had been sitting in the kitchen for ages. Vile meal . I complained and they took my meal off the bill. I spoke to the manager and she said the cook was unaware that the roast potatoes were not prepared by the day befores cook. As a manager surely that's her job to make sure that everything is prepared, especially as it's Valentines day. Won't be going back there in a hurry."

"Ordered three dishes. Got prawn crackers as a freebie. Very nice. Thanks. Two of four things that didn't go straight into the bin. Chicken chow mien is hard to screw up. Fine in this instance. Three stars out of five. Almost tasteless because too little...salt. Two other dishes went straight in the bin. Spicy stir fried beef. Full of sugar like a beef churro with too much salt. Can you imagine? Couldn't eat it. Two orders of Hot and sour soup. Also went into the bin, not the sink. Too thick. I could eat the soup with a fork. Surely something wrong there. Also way too salty and dessert-sweet. Awful. My first time at Ho-Ho. Never going there again. Quite surprised at the overwhelmingly positive ratings."

"Once upon a time Frankie and bennies was a nice chilled American Italian diner with a great ambience, dim lighting and a bit of dean martin playing in the back ground. A lot of time has passed…. This latest visit was very disappointing. Venue is now far too bright, it’s like being in a club at kick out time when they turn all the lights up to remind you to leave, the music was some pop nonsense the whole character has been washed away as they try to compete with TGI which they’re not achieving. Front of house chap seemed very miserable. Potato skins were not potato skins they were small jacket potatoes cut in half over full of potato, bland and heavy, the main course chicken and halloumi burger and a lasagne were ok, but nothing I couldn’t knock up at home cheaply. Service was slow but friendly the staff seemed to be doing everything, we watched the same member of staff serving at the bar, rush in around changing bins, taking orders and fetching food. Won’t be going back, no identity and bland food with slow service. Waitresses were nice tho, that’s the only positive I could find."

"The food I got as take away was overall…TERRIBLE. The wings was definitely the worst. Completely bland and was missing the rest of the chicken wings. The pad Thai prawn was basic, but worse was the prawns which was only 4 : Calamari was okay, but definitely not better than any I have ever had. Honestly, I don’t think any of the 8 dishes we ordered was better than any Thai I have had and it’s my first and would be the last time trying Thai from this place."
