"I made arrangements to meet someone at the White Bear but when I arrived it was closed so I parked at the top of the drive to wait for them to make other arrangements.After a while the owner came out shouting abuse at me and swearing.Not giving me chance to explain I told him that was no way to talk to anyone to which he replied with a load of foul language .I asked who did he think he was talking to to which he told me to move again using more foul language .I can honestly say I have never met a more obnoxious person in my life"

"I visited on Saturday, December 30, for an evening meal that included a bottle of wine. We upgraded to a room with a spa bath, which I highly recommend! This was a special 60th birthday treat for my partner, and I was lucky enough to join him. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. We were in need of some relaxation, and we certainly found it. When we entered our room, we both exclaimed, "Wow!" Our dinner was just as impressive. Every member of the staff we encountered—from the hotel reception to the bar and dining staff—was wonderful and friendly. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for this amazing experience. We had a wonderful visit and hope to return soon!"

"Service at the bar was brilliant, fast with good banter. The gents toilet in the bar was a mixture of looking refurbished and broken, the sink tap was not over the sink and had no pressure. The venue was great, the room had good sound, I was there for Warrens dirty thirty, two days of great music. The pizza I ordered in the evening was not worth the money, it appeared to be a microwave pizza and was horrible yo taste. The cafe on the Sunday was lovely and they did a great cuppa tea. Overall, I would recommend the Hilcote Country Club as a music venue with plenty campervan and tent camping space."

"We had a very pleasant 2 day stay here the first evening we had a 3 course meal plus a cocktail which was included in our package. This was very good value and the food was excellent, the service was great our waitress was very helpful. The breakfast on a morning was plenty of choice and cooked fresh. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Rooms: The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. Food drinks: There was plenty of drinks to choose from and the food was excellent and very tasty."

"I felt compelled to try all three courses, starting with the deep-fried brie, which was simply amazing! Next, I opted for the mushroom and asparagus risotto, and it was the best risotto I've ever had! I also ordered some cheesy garlic ciabatta and skin-on fries, but I could hardly eat much of the sides since the main course was so generous. Now, onto dessert. I found it hard to resist the urge to come back again and again just to sample more desserts. I settled on the cornflake tart with custard, and I was definitely not disappointed with my choice. It was absolutely the best meal I’ve had in a long time, and I will certainly be returning soon to explore more of the menu!"
