"The restaurant offers a single fixed price menu for 25 euros consisting of at least five courses. You eat what you are given and are never disappointed. Firstly anti pasti of salami, meats, cheeses and bruschette, then one or two primi such as pasta with truffles, then a couple of meat courses such as lamb cutlets and veal stew and finally the typical Italian desserts. Salads are offered as an optional extra. Included in the 25 euros is as much good wine, such as Rosso di Montefalco, as you like, plus bottled water. A couple of caveats: a) the restaurant is not always open outside the main holiday season, so telephone first to book. b) Macerino is deep in the mountains and access is over some unmade roads it is about half an hour to drive there from Acquasparta, the nearest town of any size, but the end result is well worth it. Finally, another review describes the restaurant as disappointing. From the description given in the review, it is almost certain that it refers to a different restaurant."
