Fabulous food and great ambience. Roast beef melts in the mouth and the chicken had a scrumptious gravy served with it. Dessert was lush. Will definitely return.

Really good meal with a lovely lemon posset for pudding. Attentive staff. Looking at booking a room for a family get together here. Good ale but would be nice to see another brewery along with Thwaites

Fabulous lunch the Salmon Wellington was just perfect and my friend’s Lancashire Hotpot “the best she’s ever eaten”! Definitely recommended with a lovely, warm atmosphere and great service. We will be back!

I had dinner here on Friday night and I couldn't fault it. The food was good affordable. The service was quick (not too quick), efficient the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. I'd recommend the highwayman to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

The Highwayman never fails to satisfy. Staff always lovely and welcoming, food always delicious and tasty. Thank you for another lovely lunch today!! My mum was gutted she became unwell and couldn’t get a main. It was her birthday meal, we’ll just have to come back !! Xx

Absolutely superb. Had just spent a week in London and this was the best eating experience of the week. A special mention to our waitress Kat who couldn't have been more welcoming, attentive and helpful. The food and atmosphere was superb and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

After I heard good things about the highwayman, I was intrigued to find out what was all about the hype. I had the Cheeky Pie, the woman had the ribeye and the children had two children's meals, all four were fantastic. I was 8 years cook, so I tend to eat nitpick, I found nothing to complain), the staff was helpful and very courteous. all in all a nice lunch, we can not recommend very enough.

We’ve just got home from the most fabulous evening. From the moment we called to ask if dogs were welcome to walking thru the door half and hour later we could not have been better looked after. The food was incredible and beautifully presented. Really tasted as good as it sounded on the menu and as good as it looked on the plate. The children thoroughly enjoyed their food and were so warmly regarded by the staff, made the experience all the more special. We will be returning very soon I’m sure and will be recommending to everyone we know. Thank you so much for making us so welcome and taking such great care of us, love from The Bakers x

the location and environment set the scene perfect for wgat seems to be just eating, but really well executed. quality and love to make the food a meeting point through the meal and after. the feeling in the highwayman is that they want to stay and enjoy their time there. it feels like nothing is too annoying. contempt without going over the top. it is the small things that mean that they really care about their experience... bring extra plates..in case they want to share with each other.lovely homemade sauces that delight and beautiful small folding jackets with their coffee. the personal knows the menu in the interior that gives them trust. it's somewhere that we found it now. we will defi...
