"Das Wissinger's im Zentrum der Insel Lindau bietet seinen Gästen gute lokale Küche zu angemessenen Preisen. Die Speisekarte umfasst neben diversen Vorspeisen und Salaten, ausgewählte Fisch- und Fleischgerichte sowie leckere Desserts. Da die Gerichte frisch zubereitet werden, kann es zu Wartezeiten kommen, aber das Warten lohnt sich. Im Sommer ist der zum Restaurant gehörende Biergarten der ideale Ort, um dort mit Freunden einen gemütlichen Abend zu verbringen. Am Wochenende empfiehlt sich allerdings eine vorherige Tischreservierung. Einziger Wermutstropfen war der Service, der personell unterbesetzt war; die Mitarbeiter waren zwar freundlich und äußerst bemüht, aber hoffnungslos überlastet. Fazit: Ausgezeichnete Küche in angenehmem Ambiente, egal ob drinnen im Restaurant oder draußen im Biergarten."

"Having read good reviews we were very pleased that we could book a table this evening and really looked forward to a delicious meal. There was a short wait for the charming waitress to take our order but the four of us ordered gourmet burgers at the same time as our drinks and we initially chatted happily as we waited for our meal. After an 80 minute wait we were less than happy. A group of 6 local people were also unhappy at waiting so long, so this was not a case of different cultural expectations. There was no apology or explanation when the food eventually arrived. The burgers would have been tasty but the temperature of all four varied from tepid to cold. It appears the burgers were cooked much earlier but had sat cooling for some inexplicable reason. One friend accepted the offer of sauce but the waitress forgot to bring it to him. Another ordered a second glass of wine when her meal arrived (having drunk the first whilst waiting) but this did not arrive until we had finished eating. When the waitress asked if our meals were good we said, "Well, they were cold". The waitress told us the food was not expected to be very hot as the bread was cold. We have eaten many burgers between us that have always been hot - these had been left to cool. All in all it was a huge disappointment. We have only once before not left a tip. It felt uncomfortable not to leave one but this meal was a huge disappointment and service was poor."

"We stayed at the Boutique Hotel Adara in December 2022. The reception was very friendly and the entire staff was very attentive and motivated. We had booked a suite with hot tub. The water in the jacuzzi was a bit cool on arrival. As a small comfort the lady offered us a bottle of white wine from the reception! Really a very friendly gesture! The double room was very modern and appealing. The beds are huge, super comfortable and it has enough pillows. The ambient lighting can be regulated atmospherically. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and various egg dishes can be ordered. The hotel is very central, restaurants and shops are nearby. In December there is a beautiful Christmas market in the port. The island of Lindau is manageable and a visit is worthwhile in any case, as everything can be explored easily on foot. A small problem: The vehicle must be parked outside Lindau in a garage or in a parking lot. The walk to the hotel takes about 10 minutes. The luggage can be delivered directly from the hotel. This is just a hint, is also explained by the hotel."

"Kurze Einleitung vorab: Vor einigen Tagen hatten wir einen Tisch für 3 Personen bestellt und dabei vermerken lassen, dass wir wegen der ganzen Blaufellchen kommen und diese essen möchten. Der Koch wurde noch mal gefragt und es uns wurde zugesichert, dass wir diese bekommen können. Heute sind wir also in Lindau angekommen und haben uns mächtig auf den Lindauer Hof gefreut. Kurz nach unserer Bestellung kam die sehr freundliche Bedienung an den Tisch und teilte uns mit, dass es keine ganzen Fellchen mehr gibt. Wir bekamen 1 Karte ( für drei Personen) um noch mal zu gucken und bestellten etwas frustriert zunächst eine Suppe. Kurz bevor diese kam, trat der Chef an unseren Tisch, legte mein Handy welches auf der Serviette lag beiseite und sammelte die Stoffservietten ein. Mit der Begründung wenn man nur eine Suppe isst, ist eine Stoffserviette zu teuer, wir bekommen Papierservietten wir versuchten ihm unsere Enttäuschung zu erklären, da drehte er sich nur schulterzuckend weg. Kurz darauf kam er noch mal, nicht um mit uns eine Lösung zu finden oder uns ein anderes Gericht schmackhaft zu machen sondern um uns zu sagen, dass es einfach nicht geht eine Stoffserviette zur Verfügung zustellen, wenn nur eine Suppe bestellt ist Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass mit uns gesprochen wird, eine Lösung gesucht wird und auf uns als Gast eingegangen wird. Leider nicht. Seit vielen Jahren besuchen wir das Restaurant wenn wir nach Lindau kommen. Dieses Jahr war es das letzte Mal!"

"Sind seit vielen Jahren regelmässig Gäste im Restaurant und in der Gelateria im EG. Leider hat sich der Service seit dem Besitzerwechsel vor ca. 2 Jahren verschlechtert, obwohl er vorher schon nicht immer gut war. Lange Wartezeiten einplanen und Geduld mitbringen. Die Menükarte ist sehr umfangreich und entsprechend leidet zum Teil auch die Qualität der Speisen. Empfehlenswert sind die Pizzen: die sind immer gut. Bei den anderen Gerichten kommt es auf die "Tagesform" des Kochs an. Auffällig ist, dass der Chef unfreundlich ist und die Gäste weder begrüsst noch verabschiedet! Vielleicht setzt er mehr auf Tagestouristen und nicht auf Gäste, die regelmässig kommen. In der Gelateria wurden die Preise für die Eisbecher dieses Jahr markant erhöht. Auch hier ist der Service oft schlecht, besonders wenn das Lokal voll ist. Das Personal scheint mit dem grossen Andrang überfordert. Schade, denn das Eis ist gut."

"Spontaner Besuch, da der Magen leer und der Hunger groß war. Eine Pause war eh fällig. Wir wurden nett empfangen. Da es später Nachmittag war, gab es leider nur diverse Bowls. Wir entschieden uns für Mango Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala und Dal Tarka. Alles zügig am Tisch und lecker. Leider muss ich dann aber doch einige Punkte bemängeln. Es wurde Kunstoffbesteck und das Essen in einer Pappschüssel serviert, obwohl wir vor Ort gegessen haben Besteck stand bereits am Tisch). Eine Zahlung mit Karte war nicht möglich, was mich in einem solchen touristischem Ort sehr überrascht hat. Eigentlich gibt es zur heutigen Zeit nur noch einen Grund, Kartenzahlung zu verweigern."

"We visited this restaurant with small kids for lunch today. While the food was excellent and on par with any top Indian restaurant, the experience was soured by the staff’s initial behavior. We called an hour in advance to confirm their hours and were told they were open until 3 PM. However, when we arrived at 2:32 PM, they initially refused to serve us, claiming the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes. After a heated discussion, they agreed to serve us, and the food was ready in just 10 minutes. The food itself was delicious, and the chef, who personally came out to greet us, was very polite and friendly. However, the initial rudeness from the staff left a negative impression and ruined the whole experience. While the food was great, the overall experience was dampened by the unwelcoming behavior. I’d rate it 3 stars."

"We arrived to this restaurant quite by chance but it must have been our lucky evening.The space is simple but very warm, the personell is really kind and even provided us toys and candies for our kid (2 1/2 and quite energetic).Food is typical home-made southern german cuisine: expect large servings and very nutritious dishes, such as pork meat in sauce or goulasch with wheat gnocchi.On the menu there are also some vegetarian options that are far from boring, such as veggie burgers, salads, cheese gnocchi and soups.Prices are definitly affordable expecially considering the large servings.Bonus point: good house wine ;)We definitley loved this place so much we have have been going back the following evening!"

"Our first choice restaurant was booked up so we chose to eat here as it was close to where we were staying and looked ok (we hadn't checked Tripadvisor!). It wasn't an altogether terrible experience, but I cannot recommend it. The food was nothing special but was ok. But what on earth was going on with the wine? We asked for a Red recommendation and the waiter recommended the most expensive. Alarm bells. But what was also odd was that he said it was cheaper to buy it by the glass rather than by the bottle. In the end we bought glasses totalling 75cl (a bottle's worth), but we never saw the actual bottle that the wine came from (though an unopened bottle of the alleged "same" wine was brought to the table for us to see on request). For a recommended wine it was very disappointing, and certainly not as good as the cheaper glass of Merlot chosen by another member of our group. Then it came to paying the bill and guess what, they don't accept credit cards or even debit cards. They seemed unaware that in 2016 the cashless society is the norm and if they don't accept cards they need to make this clear at the door and on the menu. I then had to ask where the nearest ATM was. It was 5 mins away so I left the restaurant while the remainder of the party stayed, but when I got to the ATM it was out of order. So when I returned to the restaurant I then had to borrow money from our guests - very embarrassing. So my suggestion is don't go here unless it's a last resort."
