"We went to Herrenberg for a concert at the Stiftskirche. before then, we wanted to eat dinner, but kept running into restaurants that were closed or had downgraded themselves to nearly fast food. Osteria came recommended by a colleague, and is well worth a visit. Just off the Marktplatz, it has a few tables outside, where we sat. The chairs were roomy and comfortable. We were there about 17.45 on a Wednesday and had our choice of tables. Hubby drank a beer and I had a lovely glass of dry wine from Umbria. Bruschetta were very nice, with the bread being fresh, perfectly toasted and plenty of garlic with the tomatoes. Hubby's salad was fine, but nothing to write home about. Hubby ate fettucine with beef and cognac sauce, felt the sauce needed a stronger cognac flavor. I ate saltimbocca, and it hit the spot. Two nice pieces of veal, topped with a good ham, and an excellent sage-lemon sauce. I ordered pasta as the side, and got the same fettucine DH had, which BTW was freshly made. Very tender. Good prompt service after a slightly long initial wait. Got the bill promptly and paid, then we trekked up the hill to the concert. I'll go again."

"The food was indeed just fantastic and as I remember from my student times in the region over 20 years ago...wether it was the Maultasche in Brühe ("mega" ravioli in soup), the fresh pasta with Champignons or the absolutely amazing meat plate with cream sauce...everything was finger licking delicious. Dessert was a little disappointment and not as good as the main courses...and the drinks...well...I expected a little more "power" in them...the rhubarb cocktail was a little too watery and the Hugo a little too sour. Service was very friendly but a little inflexible (or was it the kitchen?) as the request for a dessert sampler could not be fulfilled..."

"Leckeres Buffet für Familienfeier Das Asia Gourmet in Herrenberg wird seit vielen Jahre mit viel Liebe von einem netten vietnamesischen Ehepaar betrieben. Wir essen dort immer wieder gerne und sind noch nie enttäuscht worden. Mein Lieblingsgericht ist gebratene Ente in Curry-Sauce mit Kokosmilch. Meine Frau entscheidet sich oft für Tofu mit Gemüse. Daher haben wir auch nicht gezögert, beim Asia Gourmet Essen für eine Familienfeier mit 20 Personen zu bestellen. Das Paar hat uns empfohlen, verschiedene Fleischsorten und verschiedene Saucen mit Gemüse auszuwählen, die unsere Gäste nach Belieben kombinieren können. Dazu Frühlingsrollen, weißer Reis, gebratener Reis und gebratene Nudeln. Wir haben dann alles in zwei Warmhaltewannen mit getrennten Behältern für Fleisch und Saucen abgeholt. Brennpastenbehälter und Brennpaste waren auch gleich dabei. Zuhause mussten wir nur die Warmhaltewannen mit heißem Wasser auffüllen und die Brennpaste anzünden und schon war alles fertig! Unsere Gäste waren begeistert."

"sought for my man and me a local closeness that offers good meat dishes (for the man) and a selection of sweet or even something unusual (for me). at the opening hours at 17:30 on Sunday to book. the table for two was only available from 19 o'clock. in it we were swung by the many guests. a large room with a few clever built-in semi-high partitions, an aquarium, clean new pieces of furniture, beautiful bottles in the regal, a timeline stand, a theke made a nice cozy impression. it looked newly renovated, each table had two ceilings, the upper bright white was changed after each gast. the waitress was super friendly and fast despite the many visitors. the menu offered many, but not too many dishes. I have curiously tried an salat (here a smeared) from smoked auberginen - delicious (just a little too fat!) we ordered a village dish (pute, lammkotelett and gyros) with pommes and salat (with correct and non-split olives) and lambspoke with salat and green beans. the spits were fantastic! no unpleasant smell from the hammel, super soft, delicious! overall a quite large portion with the salat in front. the rest we packed. we got another ouzo from the house. I then had to go to the toilet and my respect to the operators has grown in even more to the height. that smells on the country’s usual toilet, there is only cold water and often no soap and something to dry the hands. there was even a mülleimer with a sensor that automatically opened as soon as you held the hand over it! it smelled very pleasant in the toilet and was nice clean. Conclusion: we want to go more often! and hope that the standards of the owners will not be screwed down. thank you!"

"I landed by falling on the search for an evening meal in the barista in herrenberg. After all the restaurants proposed by my navigation were already close, we were welcomed in the barista, despite 15min closing the kitchen still fulfills every wish. the pizza was super crispy and very tasty as well as the salad was provided with a pleasant dressing. the service was attentive, but not intrusive. the environment is harmoniously pleasant. they feel very comfortable. the underground radio with an Italian sender painted the Italian flair on funny wise. there was almost a feeling of vacation."

"Mensch Leute, was ist denn da los bei euch? Das war mit Abstand unser liebster Mittagstisch und auch privat hat man sich gerne bei euch getroffen. Das Essen super, liebevoll zubereitet, innovativ aber nicht abgehoben etc.. Wirklich wir waren immer zufrieden. Zudem super freundliches Personal und entscheidend für die Mittagspause ganz schnelles Eintreffen der warmen und leckeren Speisen. Nun sind wir bereits zum dritten Mal da und völlig entsetzt. Die Wartezeiten sind unterirdisch und mit niemandes normaler Mittagspause vereinbar! Die Miso Ramen Suppe total kalt, die Brühe ist eine Pfütze, garniert mit kalten Zutaten. Der Burger fettig und trocken zugleich. Die Bowl mit völlig ungenießbarem trockenem Rind und der Eierreis dabei auch einfach nur pampig und fettig! Das Personal stellenweise total unaufmerksam und leider unprofessionell. Wirklich sehr sehr schade. Das Konzept ist super, das Ambiente schön und so ein Restaurant hat in Herrenberg wirklich gefehlt. Aber nach der dritten Enttäuschung bin ich als Stammkundin dann leider auch fertig mit dem Tashis."

"we ate here on successive nights and in the first night we shared an caesar salad, and ordered ravioli and a court in the sea house spay with parma ham and parmesan. the salat was very good and well-presenetd, the ravioli was simple. ok, nothing special and the asparagus was a really good dish. we had bier radler) a house white of the carafe and an exprsso, the bill cme to ; we were very satisfied farewell and felt that we had been well served and sought after. in the second night we came back, especially because we had a hard day with the bike to tubingen and back and it was the next to the hotel we were. we had a saad, a calzone pizza and a pasta court (tagliatelle with gambeiri) the same wein and a beer as the previous, the bill we thought was very good. the calzone was more broth than filling, not particularly noticeable, the pasta was decent - again very good value and we do not leave starving. would recommend as safe bet, not eat fine, but very good value."

"We arrived without a reservation and the owner found us a table for two. Wine is served by the glass or bottle and is a good wine list. The house red wine is excellent. Our food was very nice (we both had pasta dishes) which were very well flavoured and fresh (often I find pasta dishes can be overpowered by rich tomato sauces, but the pasta we ate was very pleasantly cooked and flavoured.). We normally try to eat local food and used this restaurant as we arrived in the town late and they were able to seat us. However, if you like Italian food, then I would suggest you could do a lot worse ! We would certainly go back."

"Sehr unaufmerksame Bedienung, wir hatten explizit zwei große Getränke bestellt, die Bedienung war allerdings unaufmerksam und hat lieber zum Fenster geschaut als uns zuzuhören. Bekommen haben wir kleine Getränke. Auf Nachfrage meinte sie wir hätten das sagen müssen, als wir ihr sagten das wir es gesagt hatten stritt sie es ab. Keine Entschuldigung oder sonst was, sondern auf den Kunden abgewälzt. Da lieber in ein anderes Cafe, Fehler passieren aber dann sollte man sich wenigstens entschuldigen."

"for the back house with burden is not far from the A81 and we did not sleep for mcdonalds we had really happy when we saw that the bakery opened the back house. it is really nicely decorated and you can look down into the back when they are still working. which is no longer the case in the late morning. herr baier (the one with his own cookbook also has pictures with him and johann lafer, such a small, beautiful museum in the café, so to speak. the toilets are also modern and I also like. at the beginning I found it cool and great that you need to draw numbers like at the office, but now I find it stupid, absolutely stupid.
