"Decker's is best known for its amazing cakes, so inventive and delicious. Try the rhubarb meringue for instance. Outdoor, indoor and upstairs tables with riverside view. Big coffee, teas and drinks menu, and light lunches too, all excellent. There's an inviting breakfast menu that you could spend half the day on. If you're there in the autumn, they do "zwiebelkuche mit neuwein" - traditional onion tart with the new season's wine which is deceptively drinkable but can be lethal."

"nix for lactoseintolerant, but what a nice cozy local. after a long break, the cheese room is back in a blunt, now directly on the main road in the pedestrian zone. not so direct, in the backyard. but also that makes the charm, already the access is beautifully decorated, through the small windows that they look into the front gastronomy. each counter is used, also besides the inset they still have a mini table for fresh in love. besides the classic raclette and fondue proves the cheese room, which can be refined in a culinary delight with cheese. from parmesan carpaccio to cheese-sedessert, the name of the stube each food gives the i tüpfelchen to taste refinement. but we were on the way classic, so on raclette or fondue. the raclette is prepared in style on the table on the swing racette, the fondue comes naturally in caquelon. it can be tight, but in any case hot at the table. Excellent freshly baked broth to perfectly costed fondue that looks close to the Swiss! However, the recipe with the garlic fondue must still be processed. a good wine selection with a delightful many open weine leaves hardly a wish open to flush even the mandatory water after a shredder was good, no shredder burns in stumps. in the evening we were very well supervised by young employees, advised and served high tast factor. we are happy to come back!"

"On a warm day in spring, Ascension Day 2016, was a nice day in the Black Forest, we stopped on the way back to the camp site in Staufen for an ice cream. This place was recommended and I intend to agree with the previous positive reviews. The ice-store is located in the main street in Staufen and with warm wetter, you cannot overlook the queue. It took us about about 10-15 minutes. Is it worth waiting? Yes! I tasted the Muskateller wine ice and the pear-gingerbread. The latter taste was special, it was good, but in the end I will not take it again (not my taste). The first one, Muskateller wine ice, I definitely would reconsider. It's a kind of tasteful sorbet ice. Really good. Score: 4 out of 5"

"Bei manchen Häusern mit Restaurant und Gästezimmern kann man sich des Eindrucks nicht erwehren, dass Hausgäste hofiert und alle anderen als "Laufkundschaft der zweiten Klasse" behandelt werden. So jedenfalls hier unser Eindruck. Wir reservierten einen Tisch auf der Terrasse und erhielten einen, neben einer sehr geselligen und immer lauter werdenden Herrenrunde (übrigens Hausgäste). Die Bitte meiner Frau, die Hauptspeise im Menü gegen Aufpreis um etwas zu ergänzen, wurde barsch mit den Worten "Das macht die Küche nicht" abgewiesen. Überhaupt der gesamte Service war mit Wohlwollen bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Die Vorspeise, eine Pfifferlingsterrine, schmeckte insgesamt nach gar nichts - für mich ein Flop. Bei meinem Hauptgericht waren Fleisch und Soße wirklich gut, die Spätzle blaß und fad, die beiden Klecks Püree soweit ordentlich. Mein Dessert war ein Himbeersorbet (sehr gut) in einer Art "Obstbrühe" und Weingelee, ein schlappriges wabiliges Etwas. Jedes für sich vielleicht nicht schlecht, doch die Kombination ein Graus. A pro pos: Mein erster Wein kühlte im Kühler, da zu warm. Auf meine Bitte bei der Nachbestellung doch einen kalten zu bringen, die lapidare Antwort: "Der kommt aus der Kühlung mit 8 Grad". Mene Erwiderung, dass nicht nur die Temparatur, sondern auch die Verweildauer der Flasche eine Rolle spielt, traf in's Schwarze. So bezahlten wir zu zweit etwa 100 € und gingen insgesamt enttäuscht nach Hause."
